Kitchen Assistants are responsible for assisting the Kitchen Manager in carrying out her duties, helping to prepare and serve daily meals to campers and staff, assuring safe and sanitary food storage and preparation, setting tables, and assisting in the Tuck Shop . You are invited to join the campfire time each evening and start your day with the staff in morning devotions. You can also spend some time with the campers by helping with an activity (as your schedule allows). We’d expect you to attend any pre-camp training and help set up (week #1) or pack up (week #2) the kitchen supplies. While you may think you are just ‘in the kitchen’ you can still be a model of a godly, Christian woman before the campers and staff and endeavour to share Christ in meaningful ways through words and actions.
